IGNITION Project to Feature at AQUA 2024 in Copenhagen

IGNITION project is proud to announce its participation in AQUA 2024, a leading global event in the aquaculture sector. Taking place from August 26-30 in Copenhagen, Denmark, this event will bring together experts from around the world to showcase the latest research and innovation in the aquaculture field. As a hub for scientific exchange and industry networking, AQUA 2024 will highlight Denmark’s leadership in key aquaculture technologies while offering a platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing.

IGNITION project will be featured with five abstracts accepted for presentation. These contributions include three posters from WP2, one from WP5, and an additional poster from WP7. The abstracts cover a range of innovative research topics, from comparative transcriptomics in different fish species under acute stress to the discovery of non-invasive biomarkers for farmed fish, and the identification of bacterial extracellular products using proteomics.

In addition to the poster presentations, the IGNITION team will deliver an oral presentation on August 30th at 9:45, focusing on the holistic approach to studying acute stress responses in Rainbow Trout. This presentation, inserted in the Health – Immunology & Pathology session, will provide valuable insights into the project’s comprehensive strategies for improving animal health and welfare in aquaculture.

Furthermore, RiaSearch Lda, an IGNITION partner, will have a stand at the trade exhibition. They will be distributing communication materials, including flyers and business cards, to help broaden the project’s reach and engage with the wider aquaculture community.

We invite you to join us at AQUA 2024 to learn more about our work and explore how IGNITION is driving green innovation for a sustainable blue revolution in aquaculture.
