IGNITION was present at AquaFarm 2025

In February 12 and 13, IGNITION partners from Parma University presented the project at the international reference event for sustainable aquaculture and fishing, which was held at the Pordenone Fair, Pordenone, Italy.

This year, there were over 110 exhibitors, two pavilions, and 7,000 square meters dedicated to innovation and sustainability, and the number of visitors grew 30% compared to the 2024 edition. IGNITION’s leaflets with the project’s summary infographic were available for those approaching the booth of Parma University, where a poster showing the most recent results on the genetic basis of clam’s resistance to heatwaves and parasite infection was on display.

The Clam Game, one of IGNITION’s most appreciated outreach materials, was also showcased to explain the challenges clams face in their natural habitat.
